Do you remember when Grandma used to hang the rug out on the clothesline and whipped it with a stick? Modern technology has given us the ability to rapidly and safely remove dry particulate soils from area rugs. Our rug dusting equipment gently, yet effectively removes particulate soils from the face fibers and the foundation backing of your rugs to allow our next step to be more effective. If this step is skipped or omitted, the particulate soils that remain in the rug can be very abrasive to the materials that the rug is made out of, and will be detrimental to the longevity of the rug's foundational construction and materials. It will also cause a muddy mess if the soils are not properly removed prior to washing. If your current carpet cleaner is "steam-cleaning" the rugs in your home and not performing this crucial step, then more harm than good will result over time. Be extra careful with who you allow to clean your area rugs, it is not like the carpet that is stretched down permanently in your home. It requires some T.L.C. Our process is repeated until almost NO soil is released from the fibers. We then vacuum it thoroughly before step three...
No two natural-fiber rugs are alike when it comes to the dyes and the lifespan of the materials they are attached to. In order to ensure that your piece will be returned to you in a vastly better condition than you gave it to us in, we test to be sure which rug cleaning/washing process will give the best and safest result. After the dry particulate soils are removed and the rug has been thoroughly vacuumed, we test each differently colored area to see which (if any) of the colors may bleed at one point or another during our processes. This can be a time consuming step, especially if the piece has multiple colors, but in order to be thorough, we feel that it is one step that determines the success or failure of your experience with our company. It is at this point in the process when we will determine whether or not to proceed with the rug washing process, or offer another option that may be safer for your particular rug. Of course, there are 'dye-stabilizing' solutions on the market today and we utilize them on almost every rug that we wash, but in some cases, even the most amazing stablilizing solutions cannot prevent the inevitable bleeding that can occur in these situations. After we receive your rug in our shop, we thoroughly test the dyes and fibers to be sure that the process we will perform is the proper method for your particular rug. You will receive all of the information about the condition of your rug that we are aware of after this process is completed. If you are comfortable with the price and the services recommended, we will proceed with step two...

We offer the most gentle, yet effective HAND WASH CLEANSING your rug can possibly experience. The methods that we use are proprietary to our company, and we have spent the last few years developing the most restorative and thorough process possible. We use only wool safe cleaning detergents and solutions, and at no time do we use harmful bleaches or otherwise damaging chemicals on the rugs that we cleanse. Every rug is rinsed till clear, and a few extra steps may be added depending on the desires of the client after receiving the pre-inspection report. Pet damage, spills, etc. are scrubbed and rinsed away through our process, and we guarantee all of our work. After the rinsing process, we thoroughly extract the water from the rugs, set the pile, and dry them out completely overnight. There is not another wash facility in the area that has the capabilities, and quality that ours does, we guarantee it.
After the rug is completely dry, it is then given a final vacuuming to brush up any loose fibers that may have been worked loose during the Revival Process. The pile is groomed for a final time, and the rug is then tied up for delivery and sent home for you to enjoy!
**Other steps may be added depending on the condition of the rug at the time of the Pre-Inspection i.e. Pet Damage, odors, etc.**
